“Nobody Is Normal” - Childline

The pursuit of being “normal” has never been more of a mental health crisis for teens than it is today. But while we may try to hide what makes us different in order to fit in, the irony is that all those “normal” people are doing the very same. Because, in reality, nobody is “normal”. Radiohead provided the soundtrack to the film, which was a labour of love for over a year.

In addition, a series of bespoke films were made for TikTok/Instagram/Snapchat etc. which focused on some of the key issues young people turn to Childline for. We tapped into the transformative selfie trend using cuts/wipes to show how they might feel on the inside.

Teachers from all over sent in creature drawings and sculptures that their classes created for Anti-Bullying Week after watching the film. Adorable stuff. Special shout out to the kid who’s inner self is a glittery one-eyed pie.
